And the Winner is….

Emma! She has won the Cockle Bee competition with this fabulous entry! The super fantastic prize is a link on every page of my site for a month ($25 value omg). The Runners-up will be getting some Staffordshire Oatcakes posted to them all vacuum-packed and lovely. Mmm…..oatcakes. Well done to Emma and a big thank you to everyone who took part. Yay for Cockle Bees!

It was mine and Dave’s 10yr anniversary on the 22nd. I can’t believe it’s been so long! I bought him a coach ticket for a day trip to London because he loves it there. He hasn’t been for years and it’s a bit of a break for him because he’s been looking after Lydia most of the time. My legs have been really bad and I’ve had lots of trouble sleeping, so I’ve had to sleep the day away if I wanted to be in any kind of suitable state for work. I didn’t go to bed /at all/ at one point but still managed to drag my fat arse to work. Yay for me!

I was extremely naughty and bought myself a Nintendo DS Lite :oops: I love it so much! Dave bought me the Nintendogs Chihuahua edition for our anniversary and I got The Urbz: Sims in the City as part of the DS package. I love them both! :wuv: Laila is also sending me Animal Crossing through the post! I’m playing The Sims mostly now though as a girl with pink hair called Moof :D

I had an appointment at the hospital last Monday to, which was fun. I had a different Consultant again, but at least I didn’t have to give her my life story. I did, however, pester her about what painkillers I could have. My GP told me that anything that he would normally prescribe would make my inter-cranial hypertension worse, so he could only give me paracetamols. I think I gave him this exact look: :hmm: and stared at him. I mean, paracetamols ffs. He got the hint though and said that if my Consultant said otherwise, he’d prescribe me anything I needed.

So I told the Consultant all this, and although she was very apologetic, she told me that my GP was right. I didn’t give her the same starey face that I gave to my GP; I just cried. She’s referred me to the Occupational Therapy department, so hopefully I’ll be able to get some splints or something to help to keep the pain to a minimum at work. I’ve already bought myself an orthopaedic mousemat and that’s really helpful. I’m so lucky that they’re really understanding at work by letting me reduce my hours and giving me other tasks to do if I’m not feeling up to constant typing.

I’ll have to end this now as it’s taken me several days to complete this. I still have loads of stuff to talk about, including…..meeting Drew! Wheee! I should hopefully be able to post that tonight/earlier hours of tomorrow morning, as Dave’s parents are looking after Lydia for a couple of days. {{{Lydia}}}

PS I’m still messing about with WP stuff, so please excuse any mess!
