It’s going to be a tough week at work this week. I mean, what with having today off because it’s a bank holiday and having Wednesday off as it’s my birthday(!), I’m going to have to work for a whole three days!
I’m not sure if I’ll make it…
Dave surprised me by taking me to my favourite Chinese restaurant on Sunday as an early birthday present. There were 10 of us altogether, and even my mate Sandra who doesn’t even like Chinese food was there. I had a brilliant time, but I couldn’t move for the rest of the day as I was so stuffed full of spring rolls
I’m finally starting to settle into the house properly now. The only thing that we are waiting for now are the LazyBoy chairs that we ordered. Hnnngh…I wish they’d hurry up with those! Dave bought a 40″ flatscreen LCD TV and had it wall-mounted (by god it’s beautiful) but we’re having to sit on dining chairs to watch it properly
Dave’s parents spent all weekend doing up our garden and it looks so much better now. There’s much more room, there are flowers and even little solar-powered lamps along the borders. They’re not ‘proper’ lights for visibility and stuff, but when it’s dark it looks like there are fireflies scattered in the garden. :wuv: I’ve ordered a new digital camera (as the only one I have is the one on my mobile phone), so I’ll be able to take pictures of the garden and house soon.
The Deathstars gig that I went to on 14th April was fantastic! I was going to write about it earlier, but my Cousin hasn’t emailed me her pictures yet. Once I get them I’ll waffle more about the gig, because I can. I took a couple of photos, but I only had my mobile phone. Boo. Here are two of Whiplasher that I managed to get:
It was very exciting waiting to see if his trousers would fall down the rest of the way.
They didn’t
