You may have noticed that most of the links didn’t work for a while last night. This was due to the htaccess files for WordPress and CPanel conflicting. The Anti-Hotlinking section of CPanel looked rather strange, so I emailed my hosting company to see if they had any ideas on how to fix it. They’ve been brilliant considering it’s not even a hosting problem….just a random person with a personal site asking silly questions. They fixed the CPanel section, but what we didn’t realise that the time was that it would affect my WordPress htaccess file which makes all my links normal looking instead of the PHP gobbledegook it defaults too. So, the links I have basically didn’t exist because it was back to the PHP gobbledegoop.
BUT! My hosting company fixed it for me {{{Andrew}}} and I am happy again! 
He’s even made it so direct-linking is disabled throughout the site again. I had an images folder which (I thought) was protected, but people were stealing the smilies direct off my blog! Those smilies are kept in a separate WP folder, and seeing as I offer them for free download anyway, I didn’t think anyone would steal them like that. Never underestimate the laziness of people. It’s obviously much easier to right-click on every image you want than downloading them and uploading them to your own space. They have busy lives and cant be doing with all this politeness lark!
Ho hum. Work is frustrating me at the moment (well, the wages dept really), but hopefully I can get it sorted by tomorrow. I’m going to kick some serious arse 
I’ve also been working on my own webdesign/portfolio site so that I can hopefully earn a bit of extra money doing something I really enjoy. I’m just waiting for a recommendation from the bloke I created a custom site for, and I’ll start plugging it!
I’m planning a whole new look for Icklebug, because quite frankly, it’s got into a bit of a mess. Once I’ve got a handle on how this extra-complicated-htaccess-file works, I’ll probably really get to work on it. I’m also planning on upgrading my WordPress, so I may end up having to go on hiatus for a couple of weeks so that I can get everything sorted properly and not have all my mistakes on view for 300 visitors a day 
It wont be for a while though, so don’t panic! What do you mean you weren’t panicking? Bah!

And you know, ITV4 turned up on sky a couple of days ago…how odd? As a random aside your host’s not agcc world is it? The person who does the support there is called Andrew too, he’s been very helpful when things go wrong :s
