Eeeef, it’s windy around here at the moment. It got so bad this week that whole roads were blocked off up town because signs were blowing off of the sides of buildings and generally just not staying where they’re supposed to! Naughty signs
My Mum had a bit of a party last week to celebrate our friend passing all his tests to become THE LAW (i.e. a Policeman) Yay! Well done, Christian! I’ll try not to do many illegal things, lest I invoke your Policey wrath!
Anyway, Lydia and myself were walking along to Mum’s house to go to the party when out of nowhere it started /pouring/ down with rain. The wind was unbelievable too. It was like being in a wind tunnel or something. Luckily I was already carrying Lydia otherwise I think she would have been blown away!
It sounds ridiculous, but it was such a struggle to move forward against the wind even with my extra baggage. It was really quite scary to be out in it as I was out on my own with Lydia, I couldn’t see anything because of the rain on my glasses, and I could barely move forward because of the wind. On top of all that was Lydia crying her eyes out because she got a face full of rain. I just made a run for it because I knew exactly where to go even though I couldn’t see. We made it to my Mum’s house safely and were rewarded for our bravery with yummy sandwiches
The moral of this story is: Say hello to Barbara for me. I’ve been watching her at night.
Yep, it’s been windy miller this week. I’m sure my whole house shook at one point the other day.
Windy? You gotta stop having that curry!!
Glad you didn’t fly away!
Hugs x
