Lydia’s started to make noises! Yay! She’s been waffling away to herself for the last couple of days, going ‘ehhhhhhhhhh! ahhhhhhhh!’. It’s so unbelievably cute! She’s been really good for the last week too. She must be going through a growth spurt as she’s sleeping all of the time. She sleeps for at least 4 hours every night, and then only for a feed. She goes straight back to sleep again afterwards.

She’s also settling in a lot better in her moses basket downstairs. Before, she would only settle if she was lying on a pillow on the settee. I’m so glad she’s settling better in her basket though, as we’ve got our friends coming up from London next week for her christening, and if Lydia slept in her normal place, two of us would have nowhere to sit! I’m really looking forward to seeing them both as we haven’t seen them for about 2 years! I cant believe that it’s been so long. But with me being ill, then Penny being ill, then them having trouble getting time off work, it’s all added up.

My Post-Natal Depression therapy stuff is going really well. I’ve been enjoying the group therapy sessions even though I was a bit apprehensive about talking about my feelings in front of a bunch of total strangers. It’s been nice to meet other Mum’s though and to see that others are going through the same sort of thing. The relaxation classes are cool too, even though I have to keep stopping myself from falling asleep and drooling in the middle of it. My first Baby Massage class didn’t go too well though. You really have to time it right for your baby to be in the right mood for it, and Lydia wasn’t at that time. Understatement of the year! She /screamed/ the place down! I had only just started massaging her leg and she went ballistic! Nothing I could do could calm her down, and I started crying at that point. She screamed for about 30 minutes straight then fell fast asleep. Little bugger. The next class is Friday and the Nursery Nurse is also going to do a class just with me and Lydia on Saturday, so hopefully she’ll be better then.
