Get Paid to Review (Sponsored)

I’ve recently joined a new site called ReviewMe. It’s from the same team who created Text Link Ads.

Basically you get paid for posting reviews on your site for various companies/other websites. It’s open to almost everyone. As long as you get an average amount of traffic and write at least 200 words for the review, you’re in there!

The design of ReviewMe is very ‘Web 2.0′, but personally I love that style. The big fonts and distinctive colours make it incredibly easy to navigate. Everything is very clearly set out and well explained.

My only gripe is that it’s rather vague in the requirements for people to join up. I suppose they have to be because there are so many things that would affect your registration. I mean, my site has a page rank of 5 in Google, which is just above average, but my Alexa rank isn’t as good as other sites in the same ‘league’. It’s worth trying though, as I found out when this site was accepted!

Actually, there’s a promotion going on at the moment where if your blog is accepted, you get paid to write a review of ReviewMe! You get 48hrs to write the review, which is plenty of time really. The payout price will vary depending on your site. I’ll be getting $30 for writing this

There are plenty of sites out there that claim to pay you to write reviews, but they pay a pittance. Sometimes they don’t even pay at all after giving you some excuse like you haven’t finished a sentence with a full-stop so you’ve broken their TOS or something. I’m exaggerating a bit, but you know what I mean  However, with my past experience of TLA (they’ve paid me every month without fail since March!), I’m totally confident that I’ll receive payment and that they’ll keep me up-to-date with everything. In fact, I’ll post once I receive payment for this review.

Hopefully this has interested some of you and you end up swimming in money like Scrooge McDuck!

I saw this site advertised earlier and I can’t make my mind up how I feel about it. On one hand, everyone knows how very anti-spam blogging I am and how much I hate seeing entries in blogs just for making cash. On the other hand, I write bloody good reviews (if I may say so ;) ) and could make a killing off something like this. Then of course there’s the fact that I already review for free and hate to think that people would have to pay for that kind of service.

    Argh, so torn!

I was a bit iffy about it at first aswell. I mean, I’ve got a couple of ads on my site, but to dedicate a whole blog entry to it…meh.

HOWEVAR! If people wrote about stuff that they were interested in (and not just take up every reviewing job offered), it’s ok I think. I mean, if something is cool, you’d write about it anyway, so you may aswell get paid for it!

It’s not like every entry is going to be an ad. With a site/reviewing style like yours, Jem, yes you would make a killing :yarr:
