I’ve been feeling really run down this last week, but I’ve managed to find the energy to make another small free smilie set for you all to download. I’ll probably try to add more to them and replace my current blog smilies with them. I love these smilies, but I don’t like the way they mess up the line spacing. It never really bothered me before, but it’s really bugging me now for some reason. edit: I’ve done them! It’s 4.30am and I’m seeing double, but I’ve done them!
I’ve also added an ‘Ask Bex’ page…just because
Well, I’ve seen them on other sites and thought to myself “I can make Icklebug AMAZING and DIFFERENT by adding something that a lot of other sites have. But because I know that other sites have an FAQ page, it will be original, but in an IRONIC way”. Yep.
Another page that has been added is one with links to sites that will get you more hits. They’re all traffic exchange sites like Blog Explosion, where you surf other people’s sites in exchange for visitors to yours. I’ve only listed sites where I’ve had lots of hits. I’ve also been paid again by Beehive Mail! Yay!
Work’s really been dragging this week. I’ve been feeling so run down and tired that I can’t seem to focus on anything properly. I’m so glad that it’s the weekend, as I just don’t feel as though I’m doing my job very well. My legs keep twitching so it’s been keeping me up til at least 2am every night, so I think it’s all catching up with me. I’ve got to try my best to catch up on my sleep though, as the Acting Manager will be going on his annual leave on 5th September, so I’ll probably cover as Acting Manager for the week. I’ve managed to wheedle some info out of him for what needs to be done, but I need a bit of training on a couple of duties. Like, I’ll have to do personal improvement plans for each Keyer, which involves using Excel files and stuff. I’ve been told it’s pretty easy, but I’ve told the Manager to give me a shout when he does them, so I can hopefully get to grips with what the hell I’m supposed to do :???: There’s also all sorts of other procedures I have to follow for certain things, which I didn’t know about, like Return to Work Interviews. If someone has a day off, when they come back, I have to interview them to find out why they were off, if it’s going to be a recurring thing, if they feel able to return to work, etc. I’ve done occasional managing before, but was never told about all these things. Ah well, I’m sure I’ll do fine.
