I love The Wicker Man, and count it as one of my Top Ten films of all time. You can imagine my horror then, upon finding out that they’re planning a remake. Someone commented on my last blog entry saying, “The Wicker Man remake - yay, nay, or shall the jury remain out until you see it?”. Well, seeing as I haven’t updated in a while, I thought I’d waffle a bit about that.
My official statement on The Wicker Man remake is “they can shove it up their arse”. The changes that they’ve made are hilarious! I’m assuming that you’ve seen the original Wicker Man, but in the original, the policeman is a virgin. Now we can’t have that in this day and age, which is /sort of/ fair enough I suppose, but what do they change it to instead? Instead of being a virgin, he’s….. allergic to bees. The villagers also know this and attack him with bees. wtf.
You can almost hear them thinking this shit up. “I know how we can improve this film and make it more relevant to today’s society! Instead of him being a virgin and having the local young, nubile girl try to seduce him without him realising that there’s anything wrong in the community, we’ll just have them attack him with BEES!”.
So to sum up: no I will not be going to see this movie. 
You may have read in my last post about Text Link Ads and how they’re a much better paying alternative than huge banner ads and Adsense. Even though my current text link advert had only shown for about 1.5 weeks at the end of March, they still paid $9.17 into my PayPal account! I assumed that I would have to wait until I reached a certain payout amount before they would give me anything, but no, they pay you every month. So far this month I’ve earned $12.50 just for that one text link. Yay!
The interactive theme that I was also waffling about in my last post is still in the works. Drew’s making it all snazzy and adding fancy stuff to it now that he’s shown me the basic design. I can’t wait to show it off. I’m going to SPLODE!

It seems to me that nobody can be bothered finding original movies to make anymore.
Everything is a sequel, prequel or remake these days and it’s very disappointing.
I seriously could have done without a remake of War of the Worlds and what they did to Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy almost made me cry.
hmm, I haven’t watched that movie yet…well..it does sound interesting… hehe
I always hope remakes would turn out like Meet Joe Black T.T but sometimes that’s too much to ask for.

I did join that TLA and it is very interesting. I did the installation, however I have not gotten an email as they said would happen.It makes me kind of iffy on whether I actually installed it correctly or not. Also, are text ads posts fairly immediately or does it take a few days?
