Wow. It’s just so good. I got it in the post on Saturday morning and dove into it straight away. It wasn’t until that night that I was able to sit down properly and read it. I eventually finished the book at 4am the next day I was worried when I first got it, as it’s just so much shorter than the Order of the Phoenix and Half Blood Prince. I thought that it would be rushed and we’d miss out on detail at the end. Of course, more detail would have been fantastic, but it tied up all the loose ends nicely. I’m just starting Half-Blood Prince again then I’m going to re-read Deathly Hallows. Yes it’s a bit nerdy, but I want to catch the little nuances that I may have missed the first time round

It was also Lydia’s 3rd birthday on Saturday! Obviously this was the reason why I couldn’t plough through the book the minute that I got it. Bloody kids and their birthdays :damnyou: She had a brilliant day and got showered in presents. We even went to Telford the day before to take her to Roaries (indoor ball park thing). She absolutely loved it and in the end we had to drag her literally kicking and screaming from the place! She simply refused to leave. She went down this really big, fast slide with Dave and the look of terror on her face was priceless We couldn’t get her to go down again at all, so I just said to leave her to play on her own for a bit. Dave was right by her side all of the time so she wasn’t having to do anything for herself. After about 15 minutes we spotted her at the top of the slide and she slid down by herself! She had the exact look of terror on her face as before, but she clapped herself at the end and had us all cheering her. She never went near it again haha.

Time for bed now, I think. It’s almost 2am and I’m meeting a friend up town in the morning. The Lydia Alarm Clock won’t fail me!

Lydia will be 3yrs old in July and starting Nursery in September. Three years old. I can’t believe that it’s been so long since we had her. It only seems like a few seconds ago since I was pregnant She’s been doing extra hours at Playgroup (9am-1pm instead of the usual am-11.30am) to get her used to going to Nursery. Thankfully she loves it and is even eating all of her dinner – something we’re lucky to achieve occasionally!

We went to a friends wedding anniversary party at the weekend and it was great. Lydia didn’t sit down for the whole time we were there! She was on the dancefloor for hours having a boogy and dragging everyone up with her. They even had a bubble machine by the stage, which Lydia went nuts over

This one was taken today. Dave found this inflatable, remote-controlled robot that was half price in the shops. How could he resist?! Lydia absolutely loves it, but it’s almost as big as she is!

I ordered some stuff from Amazon and Lydia /had/ to have the envelope. To put on her head. See the look on her face? That’s victory.
