We had a wonderful time there. The apartment we stayed in was a 10 second walk away from the beach so we woke up to a beautiful sea view every morning. Just opposite the apartment was a little cafe that did yummy cream teas, and 5 minutes walk away was a beach front pub that served food and drinks outside. I’ll be uploading all of the pictures that I took to my Flickr account once they’re all resized and stuff.

Lydia absolutely loved it there. Once she was on the beach, it was nigh on impossible to get her away. She didn’t much care for the sea the last time we went to the coast. I think it was too loud and scary with the waves “chasing” her too. This time she would drag you on to the beach at every possible opportunity shouting “Beach? BEACH?”.

There’s going to be a new default theme soon! It’s going to be replacing the current theme, but keeping the bunnies. I’ve been struggling with coding layouts for a few months now for some reason and I got fed up of getting stressed out. So I hired someone to create it for me It should be unveiled some time within the next couple of days! So if you see anything weird happening on the site, it’s probably me faffing around with one thing or another in preparation of the new theme.

My ReviewMe post got approved and I’ll be getting paid for that at the beginning of next month. Yay!

Lydia’s had a cold for the last couple of days. She’s had sniffles before, but not really a full-blown cold. This time she had a fever, was really pale and she wasn’t interested in anything. Previously we’d been able to distract her somewhat by putting on her favourite DVDs, playing ‘Round and round the garden’ on her tummy, etc. This time however, she’d just sort of look at us as if to say ‘what the hell are you doing?’ and then turn over on the settee.

She seems to be a lot better now, but after being waited on hand and foot, and snuggled up on the settee with a quilt and lots of pillows, she seems to have developed a taste for it. She doesn’t like going to bed at all. She’d much rather snuggle up downstairs with Daddy looking after her. While I was at work last night, Dave tried to put her to bed at her normal time. He said that she was screaming the place down. He left her to it for 15 minutes to let her calm down, but she’d worked herself up into a right state. By the time he went up to her, she had gone past screaming and into retching and made herself sick So last night was full of fun and games and trotting up and down the stairs to check on her/bring her downstairs for a bit. Two year olds

Speak of the devil. Almost 12pm and she’s just woken up!

In other news…recently I have been mostly using Flock as my browser of choice. It’s based on the Firefox browser and it’s absolutely fantastic! It’s only in beta, but I’m finding it so much easier to use and there are so many cool features and extensions. It does a lot of things that Firefox does, I suppose, but in a much cooler way. I just find it much more convenient to use. One thing Dave was worried about was losing all of his Firefox bookmarks, but as you can import all of them into Flock, it’s the only thing he uses now. It’s incredibly difficult to get him to use anything other than what he’s used to, but the fact that he’s taken to Flock so quickly shows how cool it is

I’m going to be making the odd change around Icklebug over the weekend. Messing around with plugins and the like, so if you see anything strange, just bear with me and I’ll sort it asap I will probably change the main font colour too as someone emailed me about it being too hard to read at the moment. Well, when I say ‘email’, by that I actually mean ‘sent me a totally blank email except for the subject title’, which was rather abrupt. If you’re having problems with an aspect of my site, then I’d appreciate an email so that I can improve, but at least treat me like a human being. Just because you’re online and we’re not actually interacting face-to-face doesn’t mean you have to be a dick.

It was Lydia’s birthday yesterday. She’s 2yrs old now It’s gone so quickly! She had a brilliant day and got totally spoiled. She got a multi-purpose table from her Grand-parents. It’s got a normal flat surface on one side, then if you turn it over, it’s got a place to pour sand into and another to pour water in, plus bucket, spade and moulds. Lots of messy fun in the garden! She’s also got a big truck thing that’s almost as big as her! From her Auntie Lala (my sister, Laura) she got a tricycle with a tippy-uppy-thing at the back where she can carry her sticks and dump them in various places, and a pole at the back for us to push her along. She hasn’t quite got the hang of steering the tricycle yet though. Instead she tries to ride it like a rocking horse and tends to vigorously rock it She also had tons of clothes, nibbley treats and some money.

One of my friends came round to bring Lydia a present and brought her baby boy with her. He’s only a few months old, so I was wondering if Lydia would pay attention to him. I’ll admit that I was a bit worried as this was the first time that Lydia had been so close to a baby and I didn’t know how if she would start poking his juicy eyes or something! She was so sweet and gentle with him though. He was in his baby seat on the floor and she just stooped next to him and watched him, occasionally looking back at me to make sure it was alright. I said “where’s his toes?” and she gently stroked his toes. He started crying a bit and Lydia kept looking at me as if to ask what was wrong, then she started stroking his leg like she was trying to make him feel better. I was almost in tears because she was just so nice to him. I never once had to say “no, don’t do that” or “be nice”. She was just lovely from the start *beams with motherly pride*

I’ve not been well at all this week. I even passed out at work. In the bathroom of all places I remember shutting the cubicle door, then the next thing I know, I’m on the floor looking underneath all the other cubicles! Luckily someone came in about a minute later as I couldn’t get up due to my arthritisy thing. I was stuck there for what seemed like forever, and no one seemed in any rush to kick the door in, although 2 of my friends were there to make sure I didn’t explode or something. I was in too much pain leaning on my elbow, so with a lot of pained yelps, I was able to pull myself up. I tried to get back to work despite my Manager’s protests, but I was so shaky that I couldn’t even hold the mouse, so I buggered off home.

I’m thinking about removing a couple of themes (Smoking Bunny and Vitakato) and offering them as free templates. They’ll need a bit of touching up, but I should hopefully get the chance to do that soon.

I’ll be very busy with webdesign work this weekend, but I’ll try to keep up with everything/everyone! Too many emails to reply to! All work and no play make Bex something something…

I’ll be adding some new personalities to the bunnies, so they’ll say more. I’m thinking of adding personalities/phrases that are angry, camp, goth/emo, but if you have any ideas, I’d love to hear them! What random things would you like to see the bunnies say? The phrase needs to be short (like, 3 words at the most). If you just have an idea for one phrase, that’s cool, but if you have a detailed idea for a whole personality that you want to share, this is what I need to get it working:

1. Phrases that the bunnies will say when it’s idle and no one is throwing them (like ‘pick me’ and ‘boing me’ which they say now)
2. What they say when they’re thrown (‘wheee!’ , etc)
3. What they say when they’re jumping (‘hee’)
4. Phrase when a bunny is held still (‘uh oh’)
5. Phrase when they’re dragged around (‘whoah’)
6. When the bunny hits the side of the header (‘ow’)
7. When it hits the bottom (‘boing’)

I’ll be adding a photo gallery again soon, when I can be bothered to upload all of the pics We’ve got a load of new photos of Lydia, so that’ll be good for stopping certain family members pestering me for pics (I’m looking at you, Dad! heh).

Reet, I’m off to have some dinner now, then probably bed a bit later. I had another bad night because of my cold causing my arthritis to flare up. It’s taken me most of the day to type this out, with having breaks and whatnot to rest my achey hands. I keep getting shooting pains all up my joints and with the sensitive, almost sore skin you get with a cold, I’m a pathetic sight

I don’t want to give too much away, but go clicking/moving the mouse around on the header image and see what happens

There’s a few bits to work out in the theme, but it’s just aesthetic as far as I can see so far. Let me know if you spot any more problems though The content is all there, it’s just the sidebar that may look a bit funny if there’s not much content on a certain page. I don’t have the energy to sort that out at the moment though as I’m feeling really ill. It’s only a cold, but it’s made my arthritisy type thing flare up badly. I couldn’t even move my fingers when I woke up this morning (after a whole 4hrs sleep!).

I’m going to retreat to bed for a couple of hours. It’s my Mum’s birthday today and she’s having a BBQ (weather permitting), so I need to build up the energy to be sociable instead of hiding in a corner somewhere, heheh.

Lydia’s been really sleepy for the past 2 days. She’s been having 2 big naps a day plus her normal sleeping times. Normally she just has the one big nap at around 4pm-6pm, stays up until her bedtime at 9pm, then she sleeps through until at least 8am. For the last couple of days though, she gets really tired at 10.30am and walks up to the door leading to the stairs and starts patting it until we carry her up She must be going through another growth spurt or something as she always gets really tired when going though stuff like that. We were very lucky not to have her screaming all of the time when she was teething. She just got really sleepy again. But there’s always a nagging worry about if there’s something wrong for her to be so tired all of the time. She has plenty of energy when she is up though, and loves going for long walks with Dave, so I’m probably just fretting too much

England are playing Sweden tonight in the World Cup! I’m going to be at work during it! BOO! They have a fantastic huge widescreen TV in the canteen, but we only get 10 minute breaks, so it’s not worth even going down there really. Our Manager tried to bring a smaller TV into the office so we could attempt to watch the England v Trinidad & Tobago match and type at the same time, but he couldn’t get it to work. The only thing the TV would pick up was ‘Neighbours’. I’d rather have my nose snipped off, thanks We did get to listen to the match through the radio though, which I thought was better than squinting at a small TV and trying to type at 2200tph at the same time.

Hopefully England will play a lot better than they have done recently. We’ve just about won against sides that we should have trampled over. Winning is the main thing, I suppose, but we can’t play as we have been doing against the likes of Argentina. I think most teams have just been going through the motions during these group matches, maybe due to the heat, but hopefully we’ll buck our ideas up once the group matches are over. I think we could stand a good chance of winning….the potential is definitely there. I shall do my bit for the team by wearing an England jester hat to work
